Hello and welcome to my blog. I decided to create this blog as a means of showcasing the creations I make using The Sims 3. There are many failings with the official site, which made me realise I could show my work myself. I have never had a blog before so any suggestions would be of benefit to me and my readers.
I plan on adding my creations beginning with the most recent and will eventually get around to adding the older stuff. It may a take me a while but I will get there in the end. I will of course be creating new builds too.
As a creator, it is of great benefit for me to receive comments on my work. This helps me become a better builder and to get an understanding of what downloaders want. Ultimately this benefits you, the downloaders of my work, making for happy simmers. So please remember to leave me a message.

Strangetown General Hospital
Download
I took Sunset Valley hospital and built around it to fit a 60x60 lot. It was requested by Kimabc, for her reconstruction of Sims 2 Strangetown. I have never revamped a rabbit hole before so this was a nice break from house building. I will leave you with some more shots, hope you like it.

Seagulls Nest
Download
Seagulls Nest was created for a victorian world. I tried very hard to have the interiors in keeping with the period. Lots of rich colours and patterns. It is a small home fit for a family of three, with a lovely outdoor space overlooking the ocean. It also has a vegetable garden and a garage.

The Lodge
Download
The Lodge was created for a challenge set by Stu-art, to house the main characters in his story "The Antics of Stu-Ghost and Eric".
I wanted to create a warm cozy lodge, but still keeping it modern. I think I found the right balance of rustic woods, and modern furnishings to make it work. My vision for this build initially was a wooden lodge with stone accents and a walkout with stone walls, leading down to the pool. This was more challenging than I thought since I was restricted by lot size, due to the challenge specifics. To combat the lack of space inside the lodge I added a basement with a hidden entrance outside. (You can find that yourself :p) The basement contains an office/art room, and a luxurious spa room, with hot tub and sauna. The main house has a good sized eat in kitchen with a separate dining area. The sitting room has a fire place, and I somehow managed to fit in a grand piano. Upstairs has two double bedrooms each with balcony access, and a large luxury bathroom.
I enjoyed taking part in Stu's challenge. I hope you like The Lodge, if so please show your support and click the rec button. :-)

The Rusty Anchor
Download
The Rusty Anchor is a small, old English style pub. It has a pub garden for enjoying a nice beer outside with friends. It also has the main bar area with tables to enjoy a pub lunch, a large screen tv to watch the big game, and table football. Upstairs is a function suite with its own bar, dance area and dj stand. This can be rented out for parties and other functions.
Please remember to rec if you like it. :-)

Sunset Vista
Download
Sunset Vista was inspired my some Mexican holiday villas I had been looking at. Since I had just got Late Night, I wanted to create a luxury beach villa for the rich and famous. I had a lot of fun playing this lot with my Rock Star sim, Amanda Moon. It is very playable, with lots of things to keep your sims happy. Amanda loved it!
The thing that started the whole build was the large round section of the house, full of bug windows. The views from this home are incredible. I also wanted there to be lots of stairs and multi level access to the home, this creates an interesting build. I also made full use of the new half walls, and stages (Yay!) which add interesting shape and character. Obviously the pool was another major feature and I had a ton of fun building the landscaping around the pool. My recent vacation to Las Vegas, gave me the idea to create different areas around the pool. The Roman Bed, hot tub, fire pit and lounge areas, really achieve the look I was going for. Luxury, relaxation, holiday in the sun.
For the interiors I wanted to keep things luxurious but also functional. I made sure the kitchen and bathroom were easily accessed from outside. The large kitchen has all the modern amenities, without being overly formal, it has a more beachy feel to it. The sitting room I wanted to be modern and unique, but still fit in with the rest of the house. As for the dining room, the views are spectacular, and the table itself was a clever combination of tables and a display stand. Upstairs you will find a grand piano to sit at, overlooking the pool, with some seating for friends to chill out. This house only has one double bedroom, with a balcony and a luxury bathroom. Guests can always crash on the Roman Bed outside lol. There is also a small study with its own balcony.
I hope you enjoy Sunset Vista as much as I do. Please remember to rec if you like it. :-)

Fawn Cottage
Download
Fawn Cottage is based on a house in my town. I pass it often on my travels and fell in love with it. I just adore the style, the windows and the faded blue and yellow colouring. I feel I have really nailed the look, although I did pretty up the gardens a little more.
The roof was the most challenging part to get right on this build. Due to the roof style, it created all kinds of problems with the walls and upstairs rooms. Sheer persistence got me there in the end. And as a result gave me some cute little nooks to fill.
For the interior, I decided to go with an old cottage style, a home that granny and gramps would still be living in after their children had left home. I kept patterns quite busy, furniture old yet comfy and had fun creating a garage for grampa. I also created a spare room for grandma to do her sewing and crafts. Of course grandma loves having the grandchildren over for the weekend, so she had one of the bedrooms decorated especially for them.
I hope you like Fawn Cottage, please don't forget to rec if you do. :-)
