I decided to create this blog as a means of showcasing the creations I make using The Sims 3. There are many failings with the official site, which made me realise I could show my work myself. I have never had a blog before so any suggestions would be of benefit to me and my readers.

I plan on adding my creations beginning with the most recent and will eventually get around to adding the older stuff. It may a take me a while but I will get there in the end. I will of course be creating new builds too.

As a creator, it is of great benefit for me to receive comments on my work. This helps me become a better builder and to get an understanding of what downloaders want. Ultimately this benefits you, the downloaders of my work, making for happy simmers. So please remember to leave me a message.Jasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-1231989973039425392011-03-25T16:58:00.006-04:002011-03-25T17:38:19.960-04:00Strangetown General Hospital<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMau6H5h7Dn8GZULUHdo4C9eN9DV7QVOjKC1wLFjLGiPF8vrxlTi_cXr5_KaTMPId2rlW4TGELeZnRpH5OoULjM3K3xJ5r0jdaOOQh7106q-ZSjKwgqV081vr6Y6U3zM4wkPj5j0DYcJg/s400/Screenshot-20.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588127068999432258" />
Download
I took Sunset Valley hospital and built around it to fit a 60x60 lot. I tried very hard to have the interiors in keeping with the period. Lots of rich colours and patterns. It is a small home fit for a family of three, with a lovely outdoor space overlooking the ocean. It also has a vegetable garden and a garage.

PicturesJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-56171732548998754432011-02-13T12:36:00.002-05:002011-02-13T13:07:12.356-05:00The Lodge<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1ybigE9H1-NRUHVPFdpSvs6ohlo7wL2LLDwUrpG0VLpgMd98sJ6OaY_ddmIq41rrTr7mTMScgZL2yBv2JQ_Jrojg1J_CrMliUre2i9zP-9rZ4zgXZXOYukLewchSLq6Qe_qZvBB_5UFE/s400/The+Lodge+covershot" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573232520272629970" />

Download

The Lodge was created for a challenge set by Stu-art, to house the main characters in his story "The Antics of Stu-Ghost and Eric".
I wanted to create a warm cozy lodge, but still keeping it modern. I think I found the right balance of rustic woods, and modern furnishings to make it work. My vision for this build initially was a wooden lodge with stone accents and a walkout with stone walls, leading down to the pool. This was more challenging than I thought since I was restricted by lot size, due to the challenge specifics. To combat the lack of space inside the lodge I added a basement with a hidden entrance outside. (You can find that yourself :p) The basement contains an office/art room, and a luxurious spa room, with hot tub and sauna. The main house has a good sized eat in kitchen with a separate dining area. The sitting room has a fire place, and I somehow managed to fit in a grand piano. Upstairs has two double bedrooms each with balcony access, and a large luxury bathroom.
I enjoyed taking part in Stu's challenge. I hope you like The Lodge, if so please show your support and click the rec button. :-)

PicturesJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-89986460594142413742011-02-13T12:20:00.003-05:002011-02-13T12:35:32.141-05:00The Rusty Anchor<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGmms5NkrrDWYGuqz0KvZTBZtUyLNPEWfC4GePci26FWfbJvB2Df0zB4ZM3zob4j4bTj6tw2i1UK3Fkgv1TDTabWw-6gOwpbBFdrmwyWG1g6DnFSxk8K_1hDsqSi2BUtzerif6dVe8kVY/s400/The+Rusty+Anchor+cover.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573226063215282994" />

Download

The Rusty Anchor is a small, old English style pub. Since I had just got Late Night, I wanted to create a luxury beach villa for the rich and famous. I had a lot of fun playing this lot with my Rock Star sim, Amanda Moon. It is very playable, with lots of things to keep your sims happy. Amanda loved it!
The thing that started the whole build was the large round section of the house, full of bug windows. The views from this home are incredible. I also wanted there to be lots of stairs and multi level access to the home, this creates an interesting build. I also made full use of the new half walls, and stages (Yay!) which add interesting shape and character. Obviously the pool was another major feature and I had a ton of fun building the landscaping around the pool. My recent vacation to Las Vegas, gave me the idea to create different areas around the pool. The Roman Bed, hot tub, fire pit and lounge areas, really achieve the look I was going for. Luxury, relaxation, holiday in the sun.
For the interiors I wanted to keep things luxurious but also functional. I made sure the kitchen and bathroom were easily accessed from outside. The large kitchen has all the modern amenities, without being overly formal, it has a more beachy feel to it. The sitting room I wanted to be modern and unique, but still fit in with the rest of the house. As for the dining room, the views are spectacular, and the table itself was a clever combination of tables and a display stand. Upstairs you will find a grand piano to sit at, overlooking the pool, with some seating for friends to chill out. This house only has one double bedroom, with a balcony and a luxury bathroom. Guests can always crash on the Roman Bed outside lol. There is also a small study with its own balcony.
I hope you enjoy Sunset Vista as much as I do. Please remember to rec if you like it. :-)

PicturesJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-68608866171367414982011-02-13T11:25:00.005-05:002011-02-13T11:45:30.237-05:00Fawn Cottage<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN9WeoVt7u_-OPqXernlROKsRWSNvlEgIP-TsuXQimK4kSHV-txo7KsSSQlTpkth3FJdXy3R3YJh0pPh8P-aMAovOJvP_phpGSDjXJQwp1l90unDPJjVqvMhaabZJ9whHvNFsgNzwfCTo/s320/Fawn+Cottage+covershot.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573211594622014722" />
Download

Fawn Cottage is based on a house in my town. I pass it often on my travels and fell in love with it. I just adore the style, the windows and the faded blue and yellow colouring. I feel I have really nailed the look, although I did pretty up the gardens a little more.
The roof was the most challenging part to get right on this build. Due to the roof style, it created all kinds of problems with the walls and upstairs rooms. Sheer persistence got me there in the end. And as a result gave me some cute little nooks to fill.
For the interior, I decided to go with an old cottage style, a home that granny and gramps would still be living in after their children had left home. I kept patterns quite busy, furniture old yet comfy and had fun creating a garage for grampa. I also created a spare room for grandma to do her sewing and crafts. Of course grandma loves having the grandchildren over for the weekend, so she had one of the bedrooms decorated especially for them.
I hope you like Fawn Cottage, please don't forget to rec if you do. :-)

PicturesJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-50306180467345127082010-11-07T16:36:00.015-05:002010-11-07T16:52:50.498-05:00Jasnik's Dream Home

Download

Jasnik's Dream Home was built for the town of TSS, over at The Simmers Society. It took me a long time as I had to keep going back to it, in between other commitments in the Sims community.
My inspiration for this lot, came when I was on holiday at Las Vegas. While there, I made a floor plan and incorporated many interesting things I saw there. One major inspiration was the atrium style sitting room that overlooks the pool. I wanted my sim to be able to relax in beautiful surroundings, so she is spoiled with areas to sit and just enjoy the quiet or to spend time with friends. There is a poolside patio with loungers and a chess table; also there is a rooftop patio with BBQ and seating. There is access to a bar from the rooftop patio, so no need to trek all the way to the kitchen. Having friends over I felt having a pool house would be appropriate, don’t want people walking through the house dripping wet. Also the home cinema is perfect to have friends over to watch the big game. Go Chelsea! There is a guest suite for when they don’t want to drive home after a glass or two of nectar.
Seeing as this is my dream home I have included other features that reflect my personality. I just love the office/studio, for sewing, making floor plans, simming and many other hobbies and interests. I love to cook great meals, so I made a feature of the kitchen, one of my favourite parts is the island with seating and a butchers block. Now every creator needs a place to unwind and refuel all that creative energy, so what better than plenty of baths to soak in, and a sauna in the pool house.
This house has two double bedroom suites, 2 bathrooms, pool with pool house and sauna, a laundry room, luxury feature kitchen, dining area, home cinema, large office/studio, and two garages.
Well I hope you like it, and as always please don’t forget to leave me a comment and recommend.
SlideshowJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-49549262110089933672010-08-01T10:03:00.018-04:002010-11-09T19:04:04.547-05:00Chantilly House

Download
I started this build for the Simmers Society project to revamp Twinbrook. We could chose from several styles found in the New Orleans area. I had not built in this style before so it was fun to try something different. I decided to go with a double gallery house and began building on 162 Savannah Lane. After much playing around I finally combined the use of columns and arches to create the style, then finished the look off by using a lacy pattern on the arches and some of the roofline. I found the interior layout to be very challenging, as I knew I wanted to have a double stairway. My stubbornness makes life so hard. I made it work after much trial and error, and I am pleased with the result. I would have preferred a little more space in the kitchen, but it does contain all your Sims would need.
For the interior decor I tried to follow a French style using bright and airy colours for most of the house, and then more opulent rich colours for certain rooms. My absolute favourite part of this house has got to be the master bedroom suite. It has a large bedroom which leads through the dressing room and into a luxury bathroom. I just love the layout and decor here.
The landscaping all began with the idea of old red bricks. I had a shape in mind for the path, and then filled in here and there with plants that seemed appropriate for the region. During my research I found that most gardens were more green rather than many splashes of colour, with some tropical plants. The pond and bridge came about after surrounding a bed with a wall. I thought it would look nice to put another wall alongside it to create the effect of a bridge, and then I created the pond to finish it off. A few magnolia trees and I was all done.
This took me longer than the average build because I was researching and learning along the way. Also I changed things many times until I felt I had got it right. Hopefully it was all worth it, and many simmers enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
SlideshowJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-47286145679892771212010-07-05T00:34:00.018-04:002010-11-09T19:07:05.058-05:00The Bradshaw Estate

The Bradshaw Estate was created for a community challenge run by Ricslady over at The Simmers Society, I also entered it into Fidlertens Victorian challenge. Ricslady wanted to fill her town Colcastle Ridge, with historical homes. The home had to be set in the 1800's, so I decided to build my house around the idea that people travelled by horse. I got the basic shape of the house and added the covered entrance so that Mr and Mrs Bradshaw would not get wet going from carriage to house. I also created a carriageway that leads to the stables round the back of the house.

The kitchen was also a room I wanted to transport back in time. I built a basement and put in the kitchen and living quarters for the cook/housemaid, and the stable master/gardener. I created an open fire for cooking, work tables instead of counters and a larder. I did make sure to put in an old fashioned stove for the cook just in case. The staff living quarters are simple with a room each and a shared bathroom.

The main house is very grand and carries the theme well. I have tried to include a fireplace in most rooms as this would have been the only real source of heat. I had a lot of fun working on this project and also a great deal of fun playtesting it with the Bradshaws and their staff.

Built on 800 Ketternorth Drive, Colcastle Ridge this house is worth a little over 87k. It has 3 bedrooms plus two small rooms for the servants, 2 1/2 bathrooms, sitting room, dining room, stables and vegetable garden. This lot contains store items and cc patterns only.

Dowload Here

Slide ShowJasnik82http://www.blogger.com/profile/00278125054854932820noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652475211332796744.post-62090726960077331432010-06-22T23:53:00.013-04:002010-08-08T20:43:21.744-04:00Beachside Apartments.

Unfortunately I had to remove this lot, as it was effected by a corrupt object that got passed on to me via the exchange.
